The village of Spiegelau, which lies directly on the gates to the national park, is an ideal starting point for your rambles through the region. The hikes start either directly at the Genosko Inn or are within an easy bus ride from Spiegelau. Experience the wild romantic stone gorge, gaze over the treetops around Lusen mountain and marvel at the impressive moorlands in the Klosterfilz and Großer Filz nature reserves. The Bavarian Forest has very varied plantlife and plenty of wonderful hikes. You follow narrow paths and boardwalks through the mountain forest and breath in the fragrant air. Spending a few hours in the forest gives you a new boost of energy and helps you clear your head – we promise. Families with children will especially enjoy the nature adventure trail near Spiegelau with its spacious playground. Here, your little forest friends can let off steam and learn about the forest in a playful way at the interactive stations.

After a long day in the forest walking for several kilometres, the Genosko Inn welcomes you with its hospitality.
