A biking vacation in Ticino in Switzerland can be described in one word: breathtaking. This is true for the beautiful mountain and hilly landscape as well as for the numerous trails and experiences waiting for you and your mountain bike. On two wheels, you discover the gentle banks of picturesque rivers and lakes, cross deep valleys and work your way up to the high peaks of the region's spectacular mountains. Together with your family and friends, you are sure to have an unforgettable time. Well – usually you’d have fun together – but sometimes that’s just not possible. This Collection is the result of an idea to defy Corona and have a great time together regardless, even if we can’t do it at the same time.
The idea is a kind of relay ride: The six komoot Pioneers Beat (komoot.de/user/193412189424), Moelipesche (komoot.de/user/276753923394), cadillac55555 (komoot.de/user/646385096062), Roger (komoot. de/user/41409704156), Rolf (komoot.de/user/103043249705) and Thilo (komoot.de/user/thilokraemer) ride six Tours – not at the same time, but one after the other. Where one Tour ends, the next one begins. This makes for a great stage ride through Ticino which can be easily followed. You have the choice to choose a stage every day or pick a single Tour - it depends on what you prefer and whatever fits your schedule. And, of course, all the Tours in this Collection are also fun when you’re not alone. Together with good friends or family, they’re even more fun.

On stage 2, komoot user Moelipesche (komoot.de/user/276753923394) takes the lead and takes you from Rivera to Lugano. Right at the beginning you have the choice: You can make the way up to Alpe Foppa on your own, or you can use the mountain railway instead, which saves you around 1,000 meters in altitude…

Stage 3 of our Tucino relay ride is extremely varied: You start in the Mediterranean flair of Lugano, cycle through the alleys and streets of the suburbs and out onto the Ticino trails. You will finally reach the Ticino capital, Bellinzona, through beautiful forests, over panoramic elevations and, of…

Komoot user Roger (komoot.de/user/414097041566) takes you on stage 4 of our Ticino MTB relay. Roger actually wanted to go to the Maggia valley, but since it had rained, he spontaneously decided to do this flat and relaxed “culture” circuit to the river delta of the Maggia. After three demanding days…

Stage 5 begins and ends in Locarno, where komoot user Roger hands over the baton to Rolf (komoot.de/user/103043249705), who has explored the mountains west of Locarno on this beautiful round trip. The good, old Enduro principle applies: First you cycle up simple, paved and mostly even asphalted mountain…
