Dozens of small streams, hundreds of enchanted ponds, endless meadows and original river meadows await you on the Aisch Valley Cycle Path. Dense deciduous forests alternating with picturesque vineyards. Countless fields where cheerful sunflowers, tall corn and fluffy carpets of yellow rape and green grain grow. Historic old towns with pretty houses, castles, palaces and romantic stork nests on the roofs.

You will be able to enjoy all this on the slightly over 120 kilometre long route on the Aisch Valley Cycle Path, which runs right through Franconia. Strictly speaking, it connects Middle Franconia with Upper Franconia. From medieval Rothenburg ob der Tauber, it meanders through charming and varied countryside with a widely ramified water network into the world heritage city of Bamberg. Most of the time it goes comfortably downhill.

In this collection I show you how you can ride the bike tour relaxed in three days. The three short stages are ideal for a small adventure on a long weekend without having to plan much beforehand. The arrival and departure to the Aischtal cycle path is very easy thanks to the good train connection from Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Bamberg. You don't have to search much for accommodation in the stage destinations either, as they offer a large selection of guesthouses, hotels and holiday apartments. Off the beautiful cycle path, the two cities Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Bamberg are of course real highlights where you can really enjoy the day of arrival and departure.

Tip: If you want to stay longer than three days, you can combine the Aischtal cycle path with other long-distance cycle paths, such as the Main, Tauber valley, Altmühltal and Regnitz cycle paths.
