A lush weekend at the Franconian Moststraße

When the apple blossom wraps the hilly landscape of Middle Franconia in a white-pink veil, spring is just around the corner. Nature comes to life, everywhere it sprouts and hums. Then it's beautiful here and nature literally calls you to get on your roadbike. It is no less beautiful when the summer provides pleasant warmth and the innumerable fruits of the orchards slowly begin to ripen. Pure feel-good factor and if it is really too warm, idyllic valleys and many small rivers and lakes promise the desired cooling. Simply perfect, for extended roadbike tours into the sunset. When autumn turns the landscape into a colourful symphony of colours, the time of harvest has come. For the fruit growers this means a lot of work, for you pure enjoyment. In restaurants and beer gardens, fresh cidre provides pure culinary pleasure. A festival for the senses and the perfect reason to do your roadbike laps through Middle Franconia also in autumn. If you're not afraid of the cold, you'll also be happy here in winter - then it's particularly idyllic here.

In short: Here in the northwest of Bavaria in the beautiful Middle Franconia is almost the whole year over roadbike season. The landscape is characterized by fruit growing, its scenic beauties and culinary delights. The tours of this collection for a (long) weekend are inspired by the Franconian Must Route, on whose way there are numerous highlights, which often only turn out to be such at second glance. But if you ride through the beautiful landscape with your eyes open, you will see the true beauty of the orchards, flower carpets, beehives and sheep pastures. Pleasure takes time — take it and enjoy a cool Kneipp bath, a short break at the idyllic lake or a fresh fruit juice in one of the numerous restaurants along the Must Route.

We have put together three tours for you, which you can combine according to your taste. If you take it easy, you can turn it into three relaxed daily stages for a long weekend. If you want to sit in the saddle for a longer period of time, simply combine two of the tours or challenge yourself by riding the whole round in one piece. You have all possibilities. There is a good railway connection in each of the stage destinations and here you will find (as in many other places on the way) all kinds of overnight accommodations. Whether in spring, summer, autumn or even winter — nothing stands in the way of full (racing) enjoyment in the Mostregion of Middle Franconia!
