Today we left Loutro and walked from there past the Marmara Bay, along the coastal path to Agia Roumeli. It was pretty hot and the only shade was a piece of pine forest. Stop and cool off in the sea in Agio Pavlos.

From Agia Roumeli, we climbed the 980 m high mountain Papouras today. It offers a great panoramic view of the highest peaks Pachnes (2454 m) and Melindaou. We started our tour today in the rain. From Omalos we first took the bus to our tour start. The way led us about 1200 meters back to the coast. Thank god it didn't take long and the sun came out. Today we went on a coastal hike to the Chapel of the Prophet Elias. The chapel is located on a steep hill, which can be seen from Sougia in an easterly direction. The path through the lush, shady Irini Gorge begins near Sougia. At the end of the gorge, it goes straight on into the Figou gorge, up to 950 m.
