Le Dägelsberger Wiesli est calme et isolé sous le Dägelsberg. A première vue, un point de contrôle quelque peu spectaculaire. Mais le Tösstal vous réserve bien des surprises. D'innombrables rues étroites, chemins et sentiers parcourent les forêts sauvages. Avec un peu de chance vous apercevrez des chamois, des tétras des bois, des aigles royaux ou encore un lynx !Le gâteau bien mérité est disponible dans la petite Dägelsberghütte rustique. Il s'agit d'une cabane de montagne meublée de manière très rustique avec de l'eau de source fraîche, mais pas d'électricité. Il y a une cheminée publique juste à côté de la cabane. Un peu en contrebas se trouve l'auberge de montagne "Sennhütte 1028", qui propose restauration, boissons fraîches et hébergement.Soyez prudent lorsque vous choisissez un itinéraire - certains chemins sont extrêmement raides !! L'allée de Steg est pavée jusqu'au restaurant "Sennhütte", puis une route forestière facile à parcourir (également pour les vélos de course).

A fantastic path leads from Schwanden along the Sernft to the back of the valley. The last meters up to the Obererbs ski hut demand everything from you again. But hey - what do you not do for a good cake and a magnificent view.

The checkpoint is located in the immediate vicinity of the Obererbs ski hut (obererbs.ch/). The mountain inn is also open in summer and offers food and accommodation in shared rooms. But the real highlight is the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains!

If you take a little detour when you arrive, you will find a fountain here (komoot.de/highlight/527923) filled with cool "Elmer-Citro" - the famous lemonade from the region.

At the back of the Calfeisental is Sankt Martin. An almost forgotten village consisting of a chapel, a water mill and some 700-year-old wooden houses. Time seems to be standing still here. Thanks to a lot of passion and craftsmanship, the wooden houses have been preserved to this day.

Remember: The road from the Gigerwald reservoir is so narrow that the traffic is alternating every half hour, as follows:
- Full hour until 8 pm to> direction Sankt Martin,
- half an hour to 10 a.m. before> driving in the direction of the dam,
- from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.> free travel.

The checkpoint is in the Walser village of Sankt Martin with the alpine economy of the same name and is located directly below the Sardona tectonic arena, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tiny village around the church from 1312 has an eventful history (sanktmartin.info/geschichte). The alpine economy offers the finest regional cuisine and if you want to treat yourself to an extended break, you will even find a wellness area with sauna and hotpot here.

Le point de contrôle dans le Safiental est au Berggasthaus Turrahus (Berggasthaus Turrahus). Le Turrahus propose une cuisine fraîche et de belles chambres dans l'auberge de plus de 300 ans. De nombreuses maisons anciennes en bois sont à découvrir le long du chemin. Lorsque vous arrivez, un point culminant absolu vous attend peu avant Versam : "Ruinaulta" - les gorges du Rhin. C'est l'une des routes les plus spectaculaires de Suisse avec une vue impressionnante.

Si vous souhaitez encore vous approvisionner, nous vous recommandons la boutique en libre-service du village de Versam. Les produits frais faits maison fournissent beaucoup d'énergie et sont incroyablement savoureux. Ensuite, vous continuez presque sans circulation dans le Safiental, où le paysage de montagne devient plus impressionnant mètre par mètre. Sur et sur le Turrahus - leur tarte aux pommes juteuse est déjà légendaire et bien méritée !

The Hochalp is just five kilometers from the Schwägalp pass. It is another 250 meters higher than the famous pass at the foot of the Säntis and offers a breathtaking panorama of the Alpstein. And yes: not only the panorama, but also the steep ascent will take your breath away! Whoever pushes his bike here does not lose his honor or a lot of time.

Once at the top, the mountain inn appears beautifully located on the ridge and offers a magnificent view of the Säntis and the surrounding mountains from the sun terrace. The restaurant offers traditional cuisine and the famous Appenzeller Biber (gingerbread).

Caution is advised on the steep descent with some grazing grids. The entrance to the spur road begins in the typical Appenzell village of Urnäsch. The surrounding hamlets and villages with the typical Appenzell houses and farms are picturesquely embedded in the hills.

Le Kutscherhaus sur la Kleinbergstrasse est notre camp de base confortable. C'est le point de rencontre avant le départ et après avoir franchi la ligne d'arrivée. Les portes vous sont toujours ouvertes !
