Herbsttour 2020: Neckar, Main und Rheintal

First day of my autumn tour. Today fantastic weather and very beautiful paths. In the Odenwald there was a very steep ascent, otherwise everything is easy to drive. I was early and took a break in the beer garden on the Main. Overnight in beautiful Klingenberg am Main.

Today we always went along the Main and through the Rhine Valley. Path surfaces on the Main are partially poor, damaged by tree roots. Highlights are Seligenstadt and the drive along the Frankfurt skyline. Always along the dam in the Rhine Valley, that was boring!

Today a long tour, first in the Rhine Valley on flat, well-developed paths. From Heidelberg up the Neckar. This route is very bad for the first 30 km. Sometimes you drive on the road, sometimes on bumpy forest paths. Unfortunately, this has not improved a bit in the last few decades. Good route from Zwingenberg.

Last stage of the autumn tour. It went on well-known routes on Neckar, Schozach and Bottwar towards home. Finally, I took a few hills with me. The beer garden stop was exactly the right way to end the tour!
