In rainy weather, the path led through Breisach on the Eckartsberg, from where you have a beautiful view of the cathedral and the Rhine.
The Museum of Urban History offers interesting exhibits from prehistoric times to the time after World War II.

The 2nd part after we ended the recording by mistake.
As already in the first part plenty of slope, but then long and steep descent to Bahlingen.
Then rest at the Niederrimsinger Chilbi.
Comparable with what is called in Rheinhessen Curb or High German Kirchweih.

The routes along the old canals in Alsace are beautiful.
Some of the canals are still navigable but mostly they have now been recaptured by nature.
In the former locks, the floodgates were removed. In some places, small hydropower plants have been installed, which use the difference in altitude to generate electricity.

From Ihringen it went through the vineyards steeply uphill on the Kaiserstuhl. There, the path continued through the forest.
A rain shower gave us half an hour break on the nice table. Sometimes things are exactly where you need them :-)
Past the roadhouse Lenzenberg (had rest day) it went through deeply…

Bad Krozingen with its beautiful spa park is worth a trip.
Likewise, the interesting old town of Staufen.
The detour to Münstertal is recommended because of the beautiful landscape. Back we went along the Rhine. The graduation at the wine well in Breisach must not be missing!

Especially the way back from Colmar along the canal is wonderful. Off the road in the middle of nature. It is strange that the routes along the canals are often not marked in cycling maps. But there is indeed komoot ;-))
Little Venice in Colmar is really worth seeing. Unfortunately in the summer also…

Certaines anciennes maisons…
