Wanderungen in Südtirol

Since today was not really nice mountain weather, it went on the Tappeiner way to Merano. The small city stroll I have spared in the record times. Back up to Dorf Tirol there is a practical chairlift.

The starting point is the parking lot in the Römerkehre at the Jaufenpass. In wonderful sunny autumn weather the hike was a wonderful experience today. All around was a view of the impressive surrounding mountains.

The plateau Plamort is located near Reschen in the border area between Austria and Italy. During World War II, a large defensive system with anti-tank and bunkers was built here. The Ultner Höfeweg leads through a picturesque valley with lush meadows in which rows on the sunny mountain slopes yard after yard. That's how you imagine a mountain idyll. At that time I was so excited that I wanted to run it again this year in the fall. And what can I say, the autumn color of the larches tops the former experience by far!
