Toskana

The Elsa is a 63 km long river in the Tuscany region, which crosses the Elsa Valley (Italian: Valdelsa) from south to north and flows into the Arno at Empoli.

I didn't really want to write any more, but our last day made us a bit sad, so I was briefly on our property again ... Just to take a few pictures that I didn't want to withhold from you 😘

Our first hike in Tuscany took us to Volterra today ... The city is 50km south of Pisa and 30km from the Mediterranean Sea.



With its spectacular landscape, it is considered one of the most beautiful in Tuscany 🤩

Today we started directly from our holiday home 😊



After about 2km we reach a really great hiking trail and it immediately goes steeply downhill ...

But we have to get it all up again 😂

On the way to Tuscany we made a stopover - including overnight stay - in Bolzano to get to know the city ... and that at 38 degrees in the shade 🥵



The old town, the river and the area around the castle are worth seeing, but there are more beautiful cities 😉

After visiting the big cities like Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Certaldo last time on vacation in Tuscany, this time we concentrated on the small ones 😉
