My Most Memorable Adventures of 2023

2023 was the year of Bikepacking Rallies!
When I looked back through all the rides I’ve done this year, they all felt memorable in their own way, and it was fun to reminisce and soak up the warmth of those summer rides as I sit here shivering in midwinter! Hehe! ⛄️❄️☀️However, here are my 5 most memorable Adventures of 2023!❄️⛄️ The Snow Beneath My Wheels - oh wow, I can’t tell you how fantastic it was to leap onto my bike and head off-road through pine forest’s carpeted in snow, there was a stillness to the ride as familiar crunch of tyres is softened- just magical!👑🚵‍♀️ Adventure Queens Bikepacking Rally! Social adventures are something very special! I’ll never forget zooming along the Tissington Trail surrounded by joyous chatter, excited whooping, playing bikepacking bingo, and sharing my familiar trails with friends! ☺️💫🙌🚵‍♀️👑
Adventure Bikepacking along the South Downs! This was a heady mixture of zoomy chatty joy and Type Two Fun as summer storms threw absolutely everything at us! 😅1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣km Century Challenge
This idea made me giddy with excitement at the time and I’m not gonna lie, it was HARD WORK! Partly inspired by The New Forest Off Road Club, I set out to see if I could cycle 100km on my MTB. I had been listening to Jenny Graham’s book about cycling around the world - this totally fuelled my determination to keep going - figured that I wasn’t in nearly as much discomfort as Jenny was, so crack on!! 😄😅🚵‍♀️💨🌬💦🌊 YHA Storm Cycling
Barriers were smashed down that day! It was the most challenging riding I’ve ever experienced, the levels of cold and discomfort were off my scale and I had to dig deep to find new ways to keep moving forwards in difficult conditions.
