Welcome to the Klettgau-Rhein-Weg, a path in the heart of Europe that leads through the vineyards of the Klettgau, picturesque forests and gorges. This 46-kilometre (28.5 mi) Collection consists of two hikes near the German-Swiss border that reveal the hidden treasures of the region. Whether you’re passionate about hiking, love history or are simply looking for peace and relaxation in nature, this trail offers something for everyone.

The first stage starts in tranquil Hallau, known for its fine wines, and takes you to the Siblinger Randenhaus. The second stage takes you to Schaffhausen, where you can visit the impressive Rhine Falls and wander through the old town.

History fans will love the Klettgau-Rhein-Weg. The historic route, also known as the Anabaptist Trail, follows ancient paths that were used by travellers, merchants, knights and Anabaptists over the centuries.

The Highlights of this Tour are as diverse as the landscape itself – from breathtaking views over the vineyards of the Klettgau to picturesque small towns and rare plant species. If you are vigilant, you can discover rare species of orchids and local wild plants, such as wild garlic, along the route.

You don't need any special equipment to complete this adventure, just comfortable shoes and a love of nature. Please note, however, that the hike requires a very good level of fitness and is therefore best suited to advanced hikers. Each season has its own charm. In spring the meadows bloom, in summer the vineyards invite you to enjoy tastings, autumn enchants with its play of colours and winter invites a quiet beauty.
