Pica d'Estats 1.5 Day Adventure

‘Franken-venture’ Everesting sorta thingy magigy complete 🤙🏽480km total with 8997m elevation gain (Wahoo Roam Stats)Decided I needed an adventure, something outside of my comfort zone that would challenge me. Completed my first hike a few weeks back so decided to jump head first into a challenging alpine hike and summit Pica d’Estats (the highest peak in Catalunya) at 3108m from the French side of the border.Set off from Girona at 5am to ride 236km and 4,380m of vert to arrive at the base of the climb with enough daylight to summit.Hiked up 8.2km along farkennn sketchy T5 and T6 grade alpine ledges to reach the peak about 6pm. Descended back down to France and my bike which was stashed away in the bushes, padlocked to a tree. Changed clothes and set off en route back to Girona.Copped 2hrs of sleep in the hammock on my way back (comfort levels = supreme) and arrived home a short while ago.Consuming my weight in icy cold drinks and working out what the next peak on the check list will be.
