Kirche St. Salvator

Unfortunately there was already a serious mistake in the name of the highlight. (Has since been corrected by Komoot). The pilgrimage church is correctly called St. Salvator. This comes from the Latin and means: savior, healer [savior], redeemer. The name of the pilgrimage church has nothing to do with the monastery name “Sant Salvador”.
Salvator churches are often wrongly assigned to one person, namely the canonized Franciscan monk Salvator von Horta. The Salvatorkirche Hollfeld is completely dedicated to the example of Jesus Christ, who is called upon as a helper in need and when the burden is particularly heavy.
The Hollfelder Salvatorkirche has been a place of grace for centuries. Its furnishings combine some valuable late Gothic individual pieces with the good baroque work of the Hollfeld art and carpentry family Lauter. The two-storey galleries bear witness to the great flow of pilgrims in the past, but many believers still find themselves in the small, interesting church. Especially for the Salvator Festival on the last weekend in September, the places fill up to pray together to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, and to remember the legend that makes this place a place of pilgrimage.
The church is open during the day, but visitors must use the side entrance.

... here on the outskirts of Hollfeld in the direction of Plankenfels is the pilgrimage church of St. Salvador, as a racing cyclist and Mallorca holidaymaker I immediately notice the name of the church on the roadside, it has a namesake "Sant Salvador Monastery" in Felanitx / Mallorca.
