Conseils

  • The Tegeler Fließ is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Berlin. The start of a hike or a bike tour is at the S-Bahn station Tegel. Via the Buddestraße you reach the Waidmannsluster Damm. After crossing the A 111, follow the signs on the other side of the road (Barnimer Dörferweg or No.13) into the green area.
The signs can be seen again and again and serve as useful hints. Nevertheless, a hiking or cycling ticket from the area is recommended.
Already on the first kilometers the primeval brook landscape is a small paradise, in which plants and animals feel well, but also for the people the hustle and bustle of the city is no longer felt.
It is worth a first stop at the Titusbrücke and later on the Egidysteg to listen to nature. Depending on the season you can pass breeding grounds and admire rare flowers and biotopes.
The path leads along the stream, then again through forest and meadows. However, the instructions should always be followed, not to leave the paths.
Along the Hermsdorfer lake you reach the beach bath Lübars quite fast. After crossing the street "Am Freibad", continue on the next fork in the path over the wooden footbridge. The Eichwerdersteg, a 150 meter long boardwalk, leads directly through the flood plain. Many small signs on the nature trail give information. Here you can also learn how the flow was created.
It then follows a hike or drive through a sandy and heathland to Köppchensee. With a little luck you can watch otters here. After a small climb, follow the path to the right in the direction of Lübars (Berlin's smallest village). The village was first documented in 1247 and already had a village church made of wood or half-timbered in the Middle Ages. The successor building of the Protestant village church, a simple hall church with superior square tower, still has all the stylistic features of the Baroque in Prussian -strict form. It was built from 1791 to 1794 on the foundations of the 1790 burned down in a large fire half-timbered church in stone.
In Lübars the tour ends after a refreshment in the village pitcher or in the beer garden of the Landschlachterei. Buses we drive over the Zabel Krüger dam to the S-Bahn station Waidmannslust.
