Brut- und Rastflächen Weidefeld / Schönhagen

While tourists usually look towards the Baltic Sea here, ornithologists are enthusiastic about the biodiversity on the damp meadows on the other side of the way. The extensive areas include Gray geese, lapwing and quite a rarity during the bird migration. In autumn you can see masses of Canada geese and other geese here. Open eyes! Treasures can also be discovered on the meadow itself, e.g. Orchids.
The short and entertaining paved path between Weidefeld and Schönhagen is recommended even for those with foot problems. Binoculars should always be with you :-)
