The 520km long Frankenweg starts at the "German hiking hub" in Blankenstein (Saale). It leads through the Franconian Forest, Obermain Jura, Franconian Switzerland, the Nürnberger Land and the Altmühltal Nature Park.

Great tour, we did 3 years ago in the spring. Definitely enjoy the remaining small breweries.



We found Franconian Switzerland particularly attractive. Hopefully the weather will hold up.

We keep our fingers crossed.

@ Norðurljós: Yes, the brewing culture there is special. We are often in Bamberg and already know it there. I do the Frankenweg in bites of 2 to 5 stages at a time. Now it's a break. But I'm already looking forward to Franconian Switzerland.
