Sortie à vélo - Incontournable
In the garden is the "stone of good luck". Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had it built. It is located next to his garden house in the park on the Ilm. The monument consists of a cube and a resting ball. The solid cube embodies stability and consistency and the bullet on it the unstable. The work is considered one of the first non-figurative monuments in Germany.
Depending on the park's woodland and viewing angle, Charlotte was able to see the stone of good luck from her room.
Thus, this monument is also referred to as a confession of love to Charlotte von Stein. (Weimar read)
