Trass Höhlen

A rock that was created by a glowing avalanche is called trass. These were created by the eruption of the Laacher See volcano. The rock used to be mined here, which is how the caves were created.

A visit to the caves is very interesting because they are freely accessible. It is something of an adventure vacation and is also suitable for children.

The Trass caves are a real highlight on every hiking tour. Unfortunately we did not find any information board that tells something about the creation.
