Der Himmelssteig

The tour "Genießerpfad - Peterstaler Himmelssteig" is excellent, varied and great to go, but very new and therefore not all routes are recorded on komoot. On the tour there are countless benches also occasionally with tables in a beautiful place to stay and vespern, further there are 4-5 fountains where various drinks (soda, lemonade, beer, cider, schnapps) are offered on a donation basis.

The path is wonderfully signposted. You really do not need a GPS here. The tip to keep to the left (recommended direction) is good, as it starts more exciting.

So many stretch of the Himmelssteig meanders as a rustic path uphill through the woods. You pass an enchanted Bergbachtal, the Holchen waterfall, the impressively steep "Himmelsfels".Right at the beginning, the forest takes you under its wing and provides freshness for the 3 km long, steep ascent of the Himmelsteig. From 433 m to 657 m up to the first beautiful view into the upper Renchtal, which can be enjoyed from an impressively long white pine bench.For a while you are then usually on meadow paths on the road, looking forward across the sky and the mountain idyll, then dives back into the forest. Halftime is at the romantic Holchen waterfall with a drink well, which lures to the break. Or one dares still a few hundred meters far the second steep ascent to the sky rock with sky couch, resting benches and Talblick. From here, the path changes more and more often its character, varied are the forest trails through the beech-fir forests, cozy the meadows. Often a rivulet rushes somewhere. Great round trip in the Black Forest. The clockwise direction is recommended. The entire route is well signposted. Finally, we ended the afternoon in the outdoor pool at the starting point.

A really successful circular hike. The path is very diverse, through beautiful forests with a high proportion of deciduous trees, repeatedly broken up by alpine meadows. Spread out wonderfully over the route, the views reward the hiker for the strenuous ascents and descents. Rocks and water complement the hiking experience and beverage stations invite you to rest. A very well balanced premium route that is fun on every kilometer.
It goes up and down quite a bit, even in good condition you should estimate at least 5 hours.

Sky trail in Bad Peterstal-Griesbachalmost 10km, highly recommended hiking trail.
Rightly honored by WanderMagazin.At the beginning there are a few vertical meters to be mastered, then the first rest at the sky bar. Drinks are available chilled against a donation. In the further course with varied paths you reach the paradise rock and then another drink station at the waterfall, well strengthened it goes the last few kilometers to the parking lot.
