Very nice view of Pfäffikersee and the surroundings. Here there is a good fire pit and plenty of shade through the big trees in the courtyard of the fort. Ideal for a barbecue fun

The Roman fort Irgenhausen dates from the 3rd or 4th century and is the largest Roman fortified castle in Switzerland. Clearly, the period of construction and the task is not because there is no written evidence.
It probably secured the Roman road from Kempraten to Winterthur.14 octobre 2019
