The grounds of the Psychiatric Clinic Lüneburg (PKL) with its parks and the clinics in the pavilion system from the Wilhelminian period are worth seeing. Also a place to relax. The facility is open, an exception is "forensics", where you should not take pictures.

One of the 31 children's departments that existed in Germany was founded in Lüneburg. About 5000 children were killed in these departments. In Lüneburg there were approx. 300 - 350, of which only 2 (!!) were clearly legally verifiable. There was of course something else on death certificates, not the… voir plus

The opening times of the memorial are very special, only on the third Saturday of the month between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. You usually do something different. This is shocking information! It is incomprehensible that the then head of psychiatry Dr. Baumert was not prosecuted. Murder doesn't expire.
