Experiencing the heather in purple is something great. The plan was to climb some of the 100ths of the Lüneburg Heath and enjoy the view, unfortunately, besides me, a lot of walkers, hikers and cyclists had the same idea. Oh dear Knut, if you'd only asked the locals. Everyone from the area makes a wide detour around the Wilseder Berg when the heather is in bloom on the weekend. The purple color of the heather will make cyclists gaga🤪. I wouldn't take that personally. Your photos are really great again. 👍

That's funny! We could have met there ... but we were gone again at 12 o'clock. The parking lot was so full at noon, terrible! Then we went to Kuhbach-Oste to relax. Even there were quite a lot of people around, but it was still relaxed

We were there briefly on our bikes and were scolded by the pedestrians for driving on the hard shoulder. Unfortunately, there is no other way to cycle there. Either you get stuck in the sand or you slip on the cobblestones. 😀 😬But it's true, it was way too full. That's why we left again very quickly. In calmer climes.
