      "Dittsche - La vraie vie"
      serait devenu célèbre.

I have known the beaches on the Kiel Fjord and Eckernförde Bay since my early childhood. I always like to come back there. This stretch along the Baltic Sea between Kiel and Eckernförde was mostly not recorded with Komoot before.
The single trails on the cliffs lead in places directly along the edge of the abortion and it can actually be really dangerous to drive there. A little carelessness and you fall down the cliff. The drive there is exciting and you have great views, but it also requires extreme concentration.
So only at your own risk and without guarantee. Better get off and push. I did / had to do a couple of times today.
Whenever I'm in Eckernförde, a circumnavigation of the Windebyer Noor is one of them. The path on the west bank is, however, boggy in parts and a bit difficult. If you have problems with this, you should better take the official bike path. On the east bank, on the other hand, you can cycle very relaxed and easy. Then we went back across the country via Gettorf and a piece along the NOK. Once again it was a nice day tour in my old home. 😊

Lauenburg is not far from us and is always a worthwhile destination for a short afternoon stroll.
Today, after a long time, the castle tower was open again and you could visit it. There is no entry fee and you shouldn't miss it. I always find the old prison cells terrifyingly fascinating and from the top of the tower you have great views of Lauenburg.
Max had learned to climb stairs quickly at home. Up is always quick, but he has not yet dared to go down, although I lured him with treats and good words. Today we went down a few steps from the castle to the Elbe and I had hoped that he would just follow us. With treats and good persuasion, it actually worked and after the initial shyness was overcome, he went down the next steps as a matter of course. Great, that will work out here at home too. He ran well all the way today and saw and smelled a lot of new things. Was a very nice afternoon tour

On this glorious sunny day we went through the beautiful purple blooming Lüneburg Heath. Unfortunately, I didn't leave until noon today and there were already quite a lot of people out and about at the prominent points for a Thursday. In some parts real mass migrations, which luckily ended again in the great heather. It was quite hot and some hikers with long trousers etc. already had the obligatory bright red heads. They were obviously on the verge of exhaustion. I was very happy to be on the road with my bike and electronic support. You can also use them in the Totengrund and on the Wilseder Berg. Yesterday's long squash game made itself felt a bit. Almost all of the routes are designated as cycle paths, but almost all types of paths are included ... gravel, loose sand, large stones, large tree roots, smooth sand paths, inclines, slopes and also asphalt. There is something for everybody. I had great fun again. But wide tires and good suspension are really advantageous here. Especially the wonderful route around the Totengrund is in some places impossible to manage with normal bikes for normal Otto people without support. You just have to push it and enjoy the great views. Many did it too. I was on the road with my MTB and got through relatively well everywhere. Nevertheless, I stopped the tour as a bike tour because it was mostly normal routes and you can only choose one type of tour and just have to decide. The free car park in Volkwardigen is a good starting point for a bike tour. From there (or a little further) and also from the other places around, the onward journey by car to the nature reserve is blocked anyway. You can only continue on foot, by bike or by horse-drawn carriage. Is also a good thing.
From the parking lot it went first to Totengrund, then to Wilsede, on to Wilseder Berg and from there to Undeloh. In an arch we went back across the heather. It was nice, but also quite hot and a little too busy. When the weather is bad, it's not that crowded and I like that a lot better. 😊

Today the trailer hitch is finally being installed in my new car. Unfortunately it could only be delivered late. Now I can go back to more distant areas with the rear bike rack. I combined the way back from the workshop with a little tour and brought bread rolls with me for breakfast in the garden on the terrace. A wonderfully sunny day today.😊

Today we were once again on the move in the Fockbeker Moor. It's only a small nature reserve, but very beautiful. We inherited a piece of moorland there from Marlie's parents and we like to drop by from time to time. Many years ago, the grandparents and parents had cut peat there for their own consumption. Today it is a beautiful nature reserve that no longer has great material value, but the ideal value is all the greater for us. We are happy that we have it and will keep it, even if it cannot be used any longer at the moment. Except maybe for "breeding snakes", but who wants that? 😉In any case, Max was very happy today, ran great on the leash the whole time and was able to sniff out a lot of new, interesting smellsMore detailed information about the Fockbeker Moor:de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fockbeker_Moor

When I drove past the ghost train station a few years ago by car, I stopped immediately because I was somehow interested in the strange building. I took a closer look at it and climbed up to the embankment. Marlies and Buddy had waited so long in the car .... At first I thought it was an old railway bridge, but the counterpart was missing on the other side. It was only later that I learned the correct meaning. At that time I was already on the road with Komoot, but not yet registered. I hadn't forgotten the ghost train station after that either, but I didn't yet know what its meaning was and unfortunately I hadn't memorized the exact location either. He had already impressed me back then, but unfortunately in retrospect I no longer knew exactly where he had been. I always suspected it was on one of the old railroad tracks that are now great bike paths. Of course I couldn't find him there. Only later did I rediscover it as a highlight on the Komoot map.
Many thanks to Jan67SH for setting. I was very happy to find the ghost train station on the map as a highlight - well done. This is what sets Komoot and its members apart.
Today I finally went there to refresh my old memories and combined that with a nice overland tour.
I also consciously took other routes to discover new things.
Finding one of the oldest sequoias in Germany with Komoot in the neighborhood was really good. Without Komoot I would not have discovered it - or only discovered it much later.
Back it went across the country and over the villages freely to the nose and with a Komoot card. Once again it was really fun to simply cycle through home in pleasant temperatures. 😊More detailed information about the ghost train station is available here:komoot.de/highlight/1017415?ref=whdndr.de/geschichte/schauplaetze/Beimoor-der-Geisterbahnhof-der-Hamburger-U-1,beimoor100.htmlde.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fhansdorf

Before the squash, a quick, relaxed walk in the Niendorfer Gehege and across the Niendorfer Markt. A great hiking & biking area. In addition to the fallow deer enclosure, I particularly liked the large open-air dog area. The old Villa Mutzenbecher with ("e") 😉 in the middle of the forest is always somehow fascinating. Great that it will be retained there. The Niendorfer Gehege is a popular wooded local recreation area in the north of the Hanseatic city with a wide range of leisure activities. In addition to observing animals, especially the little ones can explore the former private forest from the back of a pony.Almost 150 hectares of wooded area want to be explored in the Niendorfer Gehege. Some of the reasons to visit this former private forest in the Eimsbüttel district are the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and the beech, spruce and oak trees that are up to 200 years old. A foreign tree population has also developed in recent years.
Hamburg Airport is located near the enclosure, which has been maintained by the City of Hamburg since 1955.
The fallow deer enclosure in a forest clearing in the interior of the area should be a delight for hobby foresters in particular. The shy deer and roe deer can be observed here from close by. Rabbits, foxes and weasels can also be found in the enclosure, along with other animals.

A stroll through the old town in Lüneburg in sunny weather is always something special. First I circled the Kreidebergsee and then put my jacket back in the car because it was just way too warm. In the t-shirt we went through the Liebesgrund to St. Michaelis Church and then on the Kalkberg. From there you have really great views of Lüneburg and the surrounding area. Then I strolled all over the old town and just enjoyed the beautiful day
