What struck me about this tour was the feeling of being immersed in a green sea that surrounds you and gives you a sense of pleasant silence, broken only by the flight of the birds that rise, frightened by the noise, by the rice fields. The light wind moved the green sea creating effects similar to the choppy sea.

I was able to try out, together with a group of other cyclists, the final 36 km stretch of the 18th stage of the Giro d'Italia, the Rovereto - Stradella. The group of amateur cyclists was joined by two greats of professional cycling, Chiappucci and Berzin, who made the uphill rides exciting.
