Passages over the height offer fantastic views as far as the Vosges. Like a short journey through time, it goes through enchanted ruins and overgrown parks of former bourgeois properties. Adventurous exploration on narrow paths and relaxed strolls on wide meadow crossings, the Blies-Grenz-Weg offers something for every taste. As you climb up and down the gentle hills, you have wide views as far as the Vosges. Adventurous-looking paths through enchanted ruins and overgrown parks of former bourgeois properties lead to sun-drenched slopes on which viticulture was already practiced on the Upper Saar.

The Bärenbachpfad is an almost 15 kilometer long dream loop that starts in the middle of Baumholder am Weiher. The actual round tour starts above the town and we park there today
Grain field with wonderful wild flowers.
The first highlight is right at the parking lot - a sea of flowers awaits us.
We can't get enough of each other.
First section of the dream loop Bärenbachpfad
We reach the first gate of the dream loop via a path and through a small forest.
We reach the first gate of the dream loop via a path and through a small forest. We pass the strikingly crafted wooden posts that are connected at the top by a crossbeam. A wooden sign is attached to it, which gives a motto for each section of the route. So we go to “To the monster”.
Next, a wooden sign with the note "To the old castle" wakes you up.
Around kilometer 3, the Baumholder nature conservation association has created a true information oasis. On the well-tended square there are information boards, nesting aids and a large insect house with - finally - usable content. Via the "path of the old trees" we reach a vantage point and, despite the high humidity, can actually see into the Palatinate.
The path meanders through the deciduous forest to the secluded valley of the Bärenbach
We follow the brook relaxed as we go to the. "When we come to Wildfrauenloch we walk to the next portal, which is the passage“ To the disappeared home ”.

From Dernbacher Haus we hike 6.7 km in a steady, steep uphill to the Landauer Hütte and on to the Orensfelsen, the highest point of our hike 330 meters in altitude. And the effort of the ascent is rewarded with the magnificent view. As can be seen in our pictures. After our generous rest on the Orensfelsen and still impressed by this dreamlike backdrop. Let's start the descent to the Dernbacher Haus past a large meadow where the airfield is near. From where you can enjoy a fantastic view again. And on it goes through the beautiful Palatinate Forest down to Dernbach

Today I ran the sand bunny tour with friends.
The tour runs over mountains and valleys through a somewhat less known part of the Palatinate Forest. In addition to the impressive rock massif of the Krappenfelsen, from which one has an excellent view, the path offers a multitude of other natural highlights and the worth seeing church of St. Stephanus with its medieval church tower.Awarded as a premium trail by the German hiking seal until October 2022.We start at the Trualbhalle in the center of the village. The road “Im Brühl” takes you up to the hill of the Wendelinus chapel at an altitude of 120 meters. From the hill it goes down into the "Big Valley", past a waterfall created by nature. Following the course of the valley, we go to the next hill in the direction of Hochstellerhof, which we leave to the right and back down through the Ungertal to Trulben. Here we cross the main street and climb up to the Krappenfelsen, from which we enjoy a great view of Trulben and a rest. The path runs parallel to the Finsterbachtal again up towards Vinningen. We cross the Meisenbachtal and in the direction of Kirchberg, past the Lothringer Kreuz, we descend again to the St. Stephanus Church and the center of Trulben.

Today's tour did not go over the Diemelsteig but from Eimelrod to Titmaringhausen and Usseln and back to Eimelrod. We drove to Eimelrod and parked in the parking lot above the fire brigade
From there we start our tour of the Eimelrod barbecue area with its treading pool and fitness trail. We continued through the forest until we come to the former railway line. There we walk through the tunnel and slightly uphill to the forest. We continued to the Uplandsteig where we enjoyed the view and felt free as birds.
The path then leads us to the first rest break to the Graf Stolberg Hut, where we have excellent food.
And the food for the hut was delicious. We
Even the service was very quick, which we experienced differently yesterday. So be sure to come back.
We hike to the Diemel spring where the origin of the Diemel rises to the destination Eimelrod.
The tour has many highlights to offer.

2nd stage after the hearty breakfast from the Gasthaus zum Diemeltal, we start our planned tour of 25, 2 km and 670 m altitude at 9:30 a.m. First it went steeply uphill to where you have a wonderful panoramic view of Marsberg and the entire surrounding area. Continuing steeply uphill to Eisenberg, the highest point in the city of Marsberg 594m above sea level. Our way leads us to the Martenberg-Klippe, also called Adorfer Klippe, Rote Klippe and popularly called Rosenschlösschen, is a geological natural monument on the 429 m high Martenberg in the Diemelsee Nature Park in North Hesse.
We reach Adorf where we take our first big rest halfway through the tour in the Hofmeister café and restaurant where we treated ourselves to a cold beer and freed our feet. Let's go to Rhegge and on to Helminghausen to the inn.
All in all, a wonderful tour that has a lot to offer.diemelsee.de/diemelsteig/#Der_urige_Wanderweg_mit_Herz
