A tour in the Black Forest was actually planned. Then the WetterApp announced the thunderstorms earlier than yesterday. So, to be on the safe side, there was an alternative route nearby (run by Heidi Hurtig this week and saved immediately😁). It was definitely worth it! A very nice round. At first there was a blockage, then we climbed up cross-country, but then we continued on the normal paths. Due to the current closure of the Gutenberger Steige, a very quiet lap as far as motorcycle traffic is concerned. And the thunderstorms came as announced - so everything was done right.

A very well-kept open-air museum. The site consists of 24 buildings. These come from the Black Forest, the Alb and the region. There is even a village church and a department store. The whole complex looks like this village has always existed. For children there are also numerous things to try out / wear and a playground. Lots of rest options to take a break. With attention to detail, the museum was breathed into life, so that you can get into the life of that time. A highlight, in my opinion, is the multimedia series in the Schwarzwaldhof. The residents talk about their lives there. Anyone interested in open-air museums will feel at home here

Once again I spent a very informative day in an open air museum. Interesting to read the stories and to put yourself back in time. I was particularly fascinated by the Nazi era. Very difficult time back then. Otherwise, conditions weren't easy in the past either. But if you don't know it differently, you automatically learn to live with it. The simplicity certainly had its nice side. The time of our childhood, without a smartphone and the flood of information with its rapid change, I sometimes wish for back. You could just experience the present and have wonderful experiences and grow up with the children of the neighborhood.
