After the 2020 race was canceled due to corona, it should start again now!Starting at 4 a.m. you could pick up the starting documents and at 4:45 a.m., you went on the slopes. According to the weather report, it should be a great day. No rain, blue sky - but consistently strong headwind from the north. At least with the headwind, the weather report should be right :-). Fighting was the order of the day from the start ... And that at 11 degrees. Brrrr, it's good that I didn't start in short ...It's a shame, this year only about 1/3 of the participants from previous years were at the start (about 240). And due to the fact that there was a flying start (4:30 to 5:30 a.m.), and shortly before the race my two companions jumped off, it was time to fight the wind and the track alone.Finding a troop with a similar speed was not that easy. But I was very lucky at the 200km refreshment station. Met Anna & Simon there. They said that they would also do a maximum of 27-28km / h. Actually a little faster than I wanted, but with the headwind still easier than fighting your way alone.Well, I should have looked at the stature of the 2. Then I could have guessed that the speed was a slight understatement ... At the finish it turned out that there were 2 Ironmans, and so we "cruised" the last 100km towards the goal at 32+ km / h: - )What can I say, the race was again a pure pleasure! Super organized. Great food on the way. And despite the small number of participants, a great atmosphere.
      I'll be back in 2022!

Yes, it could have been so beautiful. If only the rain radar had been a little more optimistic. Well, I basically had two in one: cycling and swimming at the same time.Otherwise a great tour.

Next weekend it's off to the North Sea. It was a matter of putting man and machine through their paces once again. And what can I say ... fits. So there are no excuses 😄Only the weather didn’t really want to play along. Ouch, it poured ...
