Long planned and finally pulled through today - the backwaters circumnavigation. The tour starts in Karlshagen and leads first on the coastal bike path to Koserow. Here I used the well-developed bike paths next to the roads to get to Pudagla. There is a castle there, where concerts and exhibitions take place every now and then. Continuing on back roads with little traffic and also cycle paths through forests, you end up in Stolpe at some point, here is a castle again. The Berlin Usedom cycle path (very good) is a great way to get to the city that gave the island its name. The old town is well worth seeing, with a little luck you can get a seat outside at the bakery on the town hall square. With the crossing of the Zecheriner bridge, you leave the island. From Klotzow on Komoot started to spin (it went over Buggenhagen, beautiful landscape, but unfortunately the path was bad - I knew this beforehand), so that the recording only started again in Lassan. From there it went on to Wolgast and over the Peene bridge back to the island, to the start and end point. It was a varied, interesting and also exciting ride.

The weather is great again, so it's time to saddle up. Today's tour led via Neeberg to Krummin on low-traffic secondary routes. From Krummin onwards you go more slowly, because you have to drive on an old GDR concrete slab path, which in some places has already had its best days. In Lütow and Netzelkow themselves, there wasn't so much to see, just typical places away from the tourist areas. It was definitely a varied tour, with a beautiful landscape and a lot of nature.

The weather should play along today, so get back on your bike. This time to Ludwigsburg, there is supposed to be an old castle there. With the ferry over the Peenestrom from Peenemünde to Freest. From the port in the direction of Spandowerhagen, past the former nuclear power plant, it is easy to get to Lubmin. Here you can linger a little on the pier before you finally head to Ludwigsburg on well-developed cycle paths / side streets and through sleepy villages. Once again there was a lot to see and discover. A tour with many impressions.

Before the weather weakens again tomorrow, today we went on a little relaxed bike tour to Peenemünde again. On the way there, a short detour to the airport and on to the north port, where you can get homemade sheet cakes. At the main harbor, next to the old power station, there is always something to see, so stroll a little and enjoy the sun.

Today's tour led from the north of the island, to the south and the Polish part to Swinoujscie. Via the cycle paths on the coast (here you should concentrate on driving, as the surface layer changes every now and then and many other cyclists are on the way) you get to Bansin with some decent ascents and descents. From there it goes through sleepy villages, at some point on the Berlin Usedom cycle path to Kamminke. Over a small bridge, you get to the Polish side and further into the center / port of Swinoujscie. For the return tour, I chose the bike paths and side streets through the seaside resorts. (with partly violent Baltic Sea wind). Once again it was a beautiful and eventful bike tour.
