Nagelfluh(-kette) Allgäu

A wonderful lap from Steibis over the Falken with 2 colleagues today!

In the morning the weather was still quite overcast and partly a bit fresh; after noon the sun came out fully.

The paths are usually easy to walk except for 2 places, once shortly before the summit and once on the descent, which requires… voir plus

Full points today on the hike in the Allgäu! 🤩

However, if you are hoping for the otherwise wonderful views of the main Alpine ridge on this tour, I will have to disappoint you: I was on the "back" of the Nagelfluhkette 😉

Started in Immenstadt, at first I thought that there was a lot going on. But no… voir plus

Since I spontaneously had to devote my head to the senile escape from bed this morning due to sudden insomnia: what could be more natural than to soak up the sun at last? So off to the car ... the choice was the Grünten, on which I actually only went once this year ... (but the year is not over yet… voir plus

Well, the weather forecast for today was more than uncertain.

And from the tour yesterday we were so far served that we decided to walk down the "lower" Allgäu, i.e. up to 1500m above sea level.

Before the great Pentecostal mountain hype starts tomorrow, there was an idyllic round on the Grünten and the Burgberger Hörnle 🤩 this morning

Weather, food, drinks, the route and above all the views were FABULOUS!

Another wonderful tour in the Allgäuer Nagelfluh, this time from the tourist hotspot Hochgrat towards Falken over the Seelekopf and the Eingundkopf and of course through the Porta Alpinae! 🤩

Finally Allgäu again! Dream tour ... and enjoyed this almost alone; hardly anyone was on the way! 🤩🤩🤩

The prospects were just great despite the slightly hazy weather!

Today, after a restful night and a good breakfast, we went up to the Übelhorn for the Jägerdenkmal.

Hannah has done well, really great! 👍🏼

The Grünten does not have such a real summit cross, that's what the monument is for.

But who needs a summit cross, if you have a summit cat 🐈!

In the gondola we talked to two young men, who immediately offered us to take us down to Oberstaufen with their car, which we gratefully accepted 👍🏼😄

In Oberstaufen gabs then also eeeeendlich the well-deserved cyclists and delicious dinner! 🍻

The Allgäu or a tour at Schwäbisch Gmünd?

The Allgäu has won, even if the summit is well-known 😊

From Rettenberg ago I ascended, at the Grüntenhütte still made a small rest and then quite up ... and then partly on "paths" that Komoot indicated me, but really were not there… voir plus

Jour 2 de l'Alpe Gund via le chemin de crête de l'E5 - Stuiben, Steineberg, Bärenköpfle et Mittagberg retour à Immenstadt.

Le chemin sur la crête était absolument génial!

Avec des sections d'escalade plus petites, une échelle verticale d'environ 12 m de haut et de magnifiques vues à gauche sur les Alpes… voir plus

1st day Immenstadt through the Steigbachtobel to the Alpe Gund.

The path through the Steigbachtobel is a wonderfully beautiful path along the water cascades of the Steigbach.

Below the cascades are always small blue "lakes", which invite the temperatures for refreshment.

Today a detour to the Nagelfluhkette.

Although it is not entirely clear to me why the owner belongs there; the rocks are granite chunks and some slate ... 🤷🏼‍♀️😉

Anyway, it was nice anyway.

We parked in Rohrmoos; Attention: the street is chargeable with 5 euros in coins, but the parking lot is free… voir plus

Avec un temps de randonnée parfait 🌞🌞🌞 nous sommes montés jusqu'à la montagne de pierre, avons gravi l'échelle et plus loin le… voir plus

Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir, de découvertes aventureuses de nouveaux itinéraires, des moments (sommets) prometteurs, des… voir plus

Pour et avec mes chers collègues, qui j'espère repartiront en montagne avec moi à l'avenir (😊🤭), j'ai prévu un tour en montagne de 2 jours avec une nuit en refuge; nous avons commencé samedi !

Traversée de la chaîne du Nagelfluh, y compris ascension sans téléphérique 🚠 avec une nuit confortable dans… voir plus

Si vous voulez savoir ce qu'il se passe avec les voitures le jour 1 : A 6h du matin nous avons remarqué que la clé de voiture de la 2ème voiture, avec laquelle nous voulions retourner à la 1ère voiture à la fin du tour... .malheureusement dans… voir plus

Après avoir souffert d'hypothermie aiguë pendant des semaines, j'ai essayé cette variante aujourd'hui 😀

@CaDi m'a dit qu'il était possible de remonter le Brunnenau, ce qui était juste à temps !

Nous avons commencé à Kranzegg, le parking là-bas : presque vide ?

Cela nous a surpris ; N'était-ce pas dimanche et la météo était plutôt bonne ?
