Grenspark Kempen Broek

The Grenspark Kempen Broek was a coincidental discovery. On the map we had discovered a few ponds north of the Hoge Kempen National Park. On the way back from the visit to the biotope to the De Luysen mill we have made a detour to the nature reserve De Zig. Unfortunately we could not complete the walk because of "Kogelgevaar" (in German: it was hunted).

The second Easter hike took us to Belgium, in two nature reserves in the Grenspark Kempen Broek, which adjoin the National Park Hoge Kempen. An idyllic landscape that we could almost completely enjoy for ourselves. Loved us and the four-legged friends very much!

Today we went on a very nice hike in the Natuurgebied Tösch-Langeren, part of the Grenspark Kempen Broek in Limburg, Belgium. We were able to explore meadows, forests, swampy areas and ponds while admiring storks, cattle and Konik horses.

This time we were on the Dutch side of Grenspark Kempen Broek and followed the red hiking route at Altweerterheide. A beautiful, varied route across meadows and fields, past streams and through pine forests.

Again we have discovered a magical area for us in the Grenspark Kempen Broek, a nature reserve and hiking area, which extends in Limburg on the Dutch and Belgian side. After a routine appointment with the vet we trusted in Belgium, we planned another tour at Weert (NL), this time in Laurabossen. We really enjoyed the hike - a great area!
