Meraner Höhenweg

After a long journey from the Allgäu, today we went from Dorf Tirol with the Hochmuthbahn to the Meraner Höhenweg. The first stage led a lot through the forest, up and down. In between there were beautiful views of Merano, Tirolo, Schenna and the Passeier Valley. A nice start 😀

The second stage of the Meraner Höhenweg took us north high above the Passeier Valley. Wonderful hiking weather, fresh air, wonderful views. So that the tour was not too short, there was a detour via the Naserhof with a rest. Very quaint, wonderful view. The crossing of the Kalmbach was the lowest point… voir plus

The third stage on the Meraner Höhenweg led us first to the north, still above the Passeier valley, through forest and rock with beautiful views again. To spice up the path a little, there was another loop from Christl over the Ulfaser Waalweg and the Ulfas-Alm 😉. Then the main direction went west into… voir plus

The fourth stage of the Meraner Höhenweg led us further west and consisted mainly of overcoming the Eisjöchl. From the hamlet of Zeppichl it was first gently and then more and more steeply, partly on an old military path, up the Pfelderertal. The fifth stage of the Meraner Höhenweg led us today from the Eishof further down the Pfossental a little to the west. Then it went south high above the Schnalstal with a wonderful view of the mountains. The path is just beautiful! So we reached the Vinschgau, the Etsch valley and the path slowly turned… voir plus

The sixth and last stage of the Meraner Höhenweg led us today further east from the Pirchhof to the starting point Hochmuth. The day started with the thousand-step gorge, there was no way of knowing that there would be thousands of steps to follow 😆. Via the high aisle building we continued towards… voir plus
