Gran Fondo Review 2021 - Rides über die 100km-Distanz ins Leipziger Umland

Das Jahr 2021 war für mich ein großartiges Jahr hinsichtlich der Wiederentdeckung des Radfahrens. Nachdem mir vor zwei Jahren mein heiß geliebtes Giant-Mountainbike gestohlen wurde, schlief zudem ganz schnell mein Interesse am Pedalsport mit der Nutzung der Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe ein. Ja, man kann sagen, ich wurde ziemlich faul und bequem im Besitz eines Jobtickets. Nichts desto Trotz flammte die alte Leidenschaft zum Rad wieder auf und ich kaufte mir im Juni diesen Jahres ein Singlespeed. Es dauerte nicht lang und durch Gespräche mit Kollegen kamen wir auf die Plattform Komoot zu sprechen. Sie empfohlen mir, mich hier anzumelden und einfach mal ein paar Touren aufzuzeichnen und zu teilen. Nun ja, dies war Ende Juni. - Seither lasse ich mich von so mancher Userin und manchem User immer wieder zu neuen Routen inspirieren. Und ganz besondere Freude kommt natürlich auf, wenn auch die eigenen Leistungen auf positives Feedback trifft. Im September sattelte ich dann auf das Gravel-Bike um. Und seit her bekommt mich nichts und niemand mehr vom Rad. Seit Beginn meiner Radelei Mitte diesen Jahres bis Ende Dezember kamen somit immerhin knapp 6.320 km zusammen. Dies ist die Distanz aller von mir mit dem Rad zurück gelegten Strecken, inklusive der Pendelfahrten von und zur Arbeitsstelle (Quelle: Strava). Davon sind 4.600 km reine Touren-Distanzen. Und wenn mich der Flow manchen Rides so sehr einfängt, dass ich dabei alles vergesse und nur noch wie in Trance in die Pedale trete, dann endet die eine oder andere Tour auch mal als ein erfolgreicher Gran Fondo jenseits der 100er-Marke. Und so bin ich dankbar für dieses Jahr, was wohl uns allen, aufgrund der anhaltenden Pandemie, auch weiterhin viel abverlangt, aber sicher auch genauso viel an neuen Einsichten und Ansichten beschenkte. Ich bin dankbar, für jeden Kilometer auf dem Rad, welches mir so viel verlorene Lebensqualität zurück gegeben hat. Dankbar für jedes Erlebnis in dieser neuen Freiheit. Und vor allem dankbar, dass es da noch so viel zu entdecken gibt, bisweilen vielleicht noch verborgen hinter manch offener Routenplanung. Somit auf ein neues "distanzreiches" und doch verbindliches Jahr 2022. Es gibt noch so viel zu erkunden... Ein besonderer Dank geht hierbei raus an Thomas (Rossi) und Markus (MS) für das Vorglühen an der Kette sowie der mittlerweile lieb gewonnen und für mich unverzichtbaren komoot-Community für all die Inspirationen und Feedbacks, an die mich ebenfalls die beiden erstgenannten heran geführt haben.
