Diemelradweg

The second and last stage of the Diemel Cycle Path took us from Warburg to Bad Karlshafen, where the Diemel flows into the Weser. With the best weather and a tail wind, it was quite easy on well-paved dirt roads through the beautiful river landscape. Even today the path was very close to the river.

Start at the Diemel spring near Willingen in cloudy weather and cold wind. The weather got better and better. Sunshine accompanied us on dirt roads near the river through lush green valleys. Even later, as far as Warburg, the cycle path always stayed close to the river. The signage is great.
