Great, long tour with nice hiking weather

Beautiful reservoir for drinking water. The excursions to the natural monument "Röllchen" and to the Altenfels, on which you have to climb the last bit, are definitely recommended. From here you have a breathtaking view of the reservoir.

Today we traveled into the historical period between 1400 and 1500.

The Wartburg is probably the most famous German castle. In the 12th century it was the scene of the legendary singing contest with Walter von der Vogelweide and a little later the residence of St. Elisabeth. Very nice hiking tour with many highlights e.g. B. Aschenberg cross, Bärenbruchsgraben, red tower, dance beech and Rennsteig. We also met dinosaurs and struwelpeter on our way. 👌🌧

Yes ... very nice area except for the weather🌧, but it should get better from tomorrow.
