BIKEPACKING GEORGIA

Georgia is definitely a dream destination for adventure cyclists, who like to collect lots of vertical meters. Food is rich, people are lovely and roads can get challenging. For me, Georgia has shown me how beautiful and tough bikepacking can be at the same time. This route was inspired by Cass Gilbert's route for bikepacking.com called Caucasus Crossing: bikepacking.com/routes/caucasus-crossingWe spent two weeks in Georgia, bikepacked for 13 days, slept in the tent and in local guest houses. We never booked any accommodation in advance as infrastructure of hotels along our route was very good. We traveled between the 2nd and the 15th of July, had very dry, hot and sunny days on the road.
