Tour de Fries

Today we started the Tour de Fries from Westerstede and when we arrived in Westerstede we put on our rainwear.

The rain didn't bother us.

The air here in East Frisia is wonderful.

The first stop is Wilhelmsfehn near Wiesmoor.

Tomorrow we're going to Harlesiel

Today we went from Wilhelmsfehn near Wiesmoor to Neuharlingersiel.

It was ideal cycling weather, sunny with light wind, wonderful.

We bought our breakfast at the campsite on the Ottermeer: 4 rolls, butter, jam and some cheese, a few hundred meters away there was a nice bench by a small pond, which was… voir plus

Started this morning from Neuharlingersiel to Jever, the city with the delicious Frisian beer

Had to leave the Tour de Fries the day before yesterday because we had the accommodation in Neuharlingersiel.

In Carolinensiel we drove again on the Tour de Fries behind the dike towards Schillig. We liked the… voir plus

Today the longest stage started from Jever towards Varel.

Over Wilhelmshaven along the dike from Jade Busen. Weather was cloudy with light wind .-> First of all

In front of Zetel we had to put on our rainwear, so we tore off the Frisian meters in altitude (headwind)

And we still had 40 km to go.

Today the last and shortest tour from Varel to Westerstede started.

For nature and gardening enthusiasts I can recommend the park of the gardens in Bad Zwischenahn. We visited the park on our way home. It was great.
