This captivating trail spans approximately 100 Km, offering hikers an immersive experience in the heart of the Italian Alps. As adventurers traverse the route, they are treated to a diverse landscape featuring lush forests, crystal-clear lakes, and panoramic mountain vistas, creating a visually stunning and unforgettable backdrop for the entire trek. The hike's medium-difficulty level makes it accessible to a range of hiking enthusiasts, allowing them to embrace the challenge while reveling in the natural beauty surrounding them.Applying the Leave No Trace principles involves minimizing the impact on the natural surroundings. Hikers are encouraged to stay on designated trails, preventing unnecessary erosion and damage to fragile ecosystems. Responsible waste management is another crucial aspect, requiring trekkers to pack out all trash and dispose of it properly at designated collection points in the villages at the end of the route. Moreover, promotes a mindset of respect towards the local flora and fauna. Hikers are urged to observe wildlife from a distance, avoiding disruption to their natural behaviors. By incorporating these Leave No Trace principles into the trekking experience, the Translagorai hike not only ensures the preservation of the breathtaking landscapes but also fosters a sustainable and eco-conscious approach to outdoor exploration.Tabacco paper maps:
You can find Translagorai in its almost entirety on Tabacco No. 14 (Val di Fiemme, Lagorai, Latemar): that is, from Passo Manghen to Coston degli Slavaci. You'll then need a small excerpt of No. 22 (Pale di San Martino) for the final stretch to Colbricon and then to Passo Rolle and, if you start from the Mocheni Valley, an excerpt of No. 58 (Valsugana, Tesino, Lagorai).
