After a long flight quickly back to the old town, a little bit of your feet.



The name Bangkok means "City of Angels". In the 18th century it was built by the then king after the destruction of the old metropolis as the new capital of the Kingdom of Siam, which has been called Thailand since 1939.

First full day in Bangkok. Despite jetlag, it was time to get up early, with the "What Phra Kaew" and the "Grand Palace" the absolute tourist highlights were on the program. The tour through the old town of Bangkok is peppered with countless highlights that line up almost seamlessly ... madness!

On rather less touristy paths today we went along the "Chao Phraya" towards Chinatown and further to "Wat Arun". In the small streets of Chinatown, off the beaten path, there is a completely different, original Bangkok to discover.

Hikes in big cities are really something very special, especially when the big cities like Bangkok have hardly any green spaces. In this, the Bangkok differs significantly from cities such as Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei or Kyoto. There you can quickly reach mountains and forests with extensive hiking opportunities… voir plus

The destination of today's hike is north of the old town and is only visited by a few tourists. The highlight of the hike is the Royal Plaza with the Anantasamakhom throne hall and the "Wat Benchamabophit", the marble temple of Bangkok

With the Chao Phraya Express Boat on the Chao Phraya River.

It was nice ... I will definitely come to Thailand again. Bangkok but I have completely expired, here I have finished: O)
