It should be a hike to the Brocken and, if possible, at the winter solstice.

Since the weather forecast should be more suitable for today, December 19th, I moved the day forward on my own initiative. The sunrise on the Brocken was the goal and it should take place at 9:20 a.m.

Start was at 5 a.m. in Torfhaus… voir plus

This is a tour, your great pictures remind me of our tours on the Brocken. I think it's good that you walk on the Brocken at night and starry skies to see the sunrise, strong.

Thank you Bernhard for your nice comment 🙂. The experience was definitely worth the effort. Get up in the middle of a winter night. One hour's drive into the Harz Mountains in thick fog. And then run for 2.5 hours in the dark. I will be able to tell my grandchildren about it 😁🚶‍♀️

@Bikerlady, I want to go to the Harz Mountains between the holidays and maybe up to the Brocken again, should give hope for snow.

Years ago we did it with several friends on New Year's Eve with a clear sky, that was wonderful.
