Today's beautiful tour started in Petersbächel.

The tour finally had a real ascent over narrow serpentines.

The view from the Peace Cross and from Blumenstein Castle was great.

We took a break up at the Blumenstein Castle, the only place today where it got too warm for us.

Really nice tour. All worthwhile places to visit. 👍 Can still be combined with the Bavarian Windsheim. From there a fantastic view of France and at least 3 castles.

Do you mean Bayerisch Windstein? We had already visited it on a castle tour on the other side of the border. That was a great tour too.

But here in the south there are not such magnificent castles as the one you visited yesterday.

According to the signs, however, we were in the Eifel :-) also in terms of landscape nothing reminded of the Palatinate.

Should have written Rhineland-Palatinate in more detail ...

If we drive a little west, nothing reminds us of the Palatinate Forest. Hilly landscape with many fields.
