Also on this section the Franconian mountain path lives up to its name! The path alternated steeply up and down, after Goldkronach first through forest, later often in the sun on dirt roads. All in all a nice tour again, if a bit hot today :-)

Carsten, I booked 3 nights in advance, in Luisenburg, Fichtelsee and Goldkronach. I turned a little bit to the Rother hiking guide "Franconian Mountain Path". I liked the daily route, etc. well. Has everything fit then :-)

Do you book this individually or through a tourist office? Ch has the Lechweg in mind, but on the one hand I have to stay, on the other hand, I need only a bathroom and a sleeping space, not a spa hotel.

I booked it myself. I knew where I wanted to go and looked online and at Booking.com to see what kind of accommodation there is. Hostels are more to be found in cities. So much choice is not there on the way. That's why I wanted to book in advance. Otherwise, nan may be there after running 25 kilometers… voir plus

That's the dilemma. Either you book "hiking without luggage" and pay properly or you just stop there without accommodation. I think I start in my case from the youth hostel in Füssen. Hiking a week, organizing two weeks ... 🙈
