I finally made it to the highest peak in Germany. Over the Höllental went to the Zugspitze. To avoid the usual crowds, we started rather late at 9 a.m. We hardly met any people on the via ferrata. But this is only advisable for people who know that they can do the tour in under 6 hours.

Thanks to the cable car, an easy hike that rewards you with a great view of the Rotmoosferner and the Ötztal glacier world. The descent over the Rotmoostal is no less impressive and with a little luck you will come across a herd of Haflinger horses.
A short Sunday trip from home to the Patscher Alm. The forest road had several longer passages with snow and ice. But it was quite doable. Weather was great!
