We are getting closer to home - and take it easy ... The Schallenberg is actually not a mountain at all and - after our tour - also no longer a pass :-)
We enjoy the gentle hills of the Emmental and then cycle comfortably 'along the Aare' (we opt for route no. 64) to Bern.

Our 9th day takes us on bike route no. 4 over the Mörlialp up to the top of the Glaubbielen pass. The ascent is long and steep - 11km and 1100m altitude. Unfortunately there are also a lot of motorbike drivers and 2-3 trucks ...
After Sörenberg, the route branches off to the left through the Entlebuch…

The bike route no. 83 leads us over a beautiful mountain road with practically no traffic over the Pragel Pass. Then we have a lot of fun on the classy descent to Muotathal.
Continue via Brunnen to Gersau, where we take the ferry to Beckenried. The thunderstorm reaches us shortly before arriving in Beckenried…

No. 2, 9, 83 are the numbers of the cycle routes on our seventh stage from Chur up to the Klöntalersee.
From Chur we successfully drive away from the rain along the Rhine, but at Walensee we have to flee to the station building in Mols ;-)
It's dry on the beautiful bike path, first along the Walensee and…

On the 6th day, the national bike route No. 2 leads us up to the Oberalp Pass, which we conquer without any further problems thanks to our more or less fresh legs.
Via Disentis we drive to Ilanz and then continue along the impressive Rhine Gorge to Chur.

Stage 5 leads us from the Valais over the Furka Pass to Andermatt, all along the national cycle route No. 1.
It feels like the Furka Pass is divided into two parts from Ritzingen - once up to Gletsch (from where you can also branch off towards Grimsel) and then from Gletsch up to the top of the pass.
The…

Stage 4: On a long stage you go up the Rhone Valley, along the national cycle route No. 1.
Shorter sections (between Naters / Bitsch to Mörel) have to be made on the busy main road.
From Mörel go right up to Grengiols and continue on dirt roads with very steep ramps (shorter sections must be pushed) into…

On our third stage we went from the Col des Mosses around the Lac de l'Hongrin reservoir down to Aigle and then along the Rhone to Sion.
We were accompanied by the sun and fantastic views of Lac Léman and the Rhone Valley.
The descent to Aigle is long and steep - and not recommended in the opposite direction ;-)

Stage 2 leads us from Moudon up to the Col des Mosses, past the picturesque town of Gruyères. From there we follow the national cycle route No. 4, which leads us up to the Lac de l'Hongrin. A wonderful route with a strong ascent at the end :-)
A no brainer! - this is our last stage back home. Let's go along the Wohlensee and Route 94 over the 'Großer Moos' to Neuchatel.
