Der Oeschinensee gehört zum Unesco-Welterbe und gilt für viele als der schönste Bergsee der Alpen. Er liegt oberhalb von Kandersteg und ist ein intakter Bergsee, der von den Gletscherbächen der Dreitausender Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn und Doldenhorn gespeist wird. Hier kommen Wasserratten, Naturliebhaber und Wanderer auf ihre Kosten.

Lake Oeschinen is a Unesco World Heritage Site and considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain lake in the Alps. It lies above Kandersteg and is an intact mountain lake fed by the glacial streams of the three-thousand-metre peaks Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn. Water rats, nature lovers and hikers get their money's worth here.

Beautiful panorama with a view of the Blüemlisalphorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn.

Route 5 mountain station via Sennhütte
For everyone who would like to enjoy a wonderful view and discover a new panorama with hidden places.
Very comfortable walk to the Sennhütte, then about a T3 to the lake. From the lake to the mountain hotel, it's another easy walk.

Very nice and idyllic tour where you make a few stops to enjoy the moment. Attention: only for experienced hikers, as there are some exposed areas.

Route 2 is an easy but steep path up directly to the lake from Kandersteg.
Currently only possible for pedestrians. Not suitable for prams.
Bikes and other roadworthy sports equipment are prohibited.

View of our 3000m: Blüemlisalphore, Fründenhore, Doldenhore and other chic mountains, such as the Wildi Frau or the Gspaltehore.
For all more experienced hikers. Partly quite exposed, not recommended with sneakers.
