Very scenic, low-traffic but difficult tour with steep climbs, MTB recommended, but can also be done with a touring bike. The loop, on the very steep ascent from Nieder-Wiesen to Vorholz, can be saved and taken directly. To Orbis well-developed bike paths, through the forest it is mostly only on gravel paths.

Nice tour mostly in the forest, with only small climbs. The paths have the character of a dirt road, mostly on gravel and grit, the pieces of asphalt are interspersed with potholes and bumps. But is easy to manage with touring bikes. Only the optional tour around the lake is partly on unpaved paths…
Nice tour at the beginning of the Middle Rhine Valley, only the piece from Rüdesheim to Assmannshausen is boring (bike path right next to the B42 ...). The ascent from Assmannshausen towards the Niederwald monument is substantial, but is rewarded with a great view.
