Limit experience day 1

Started this morning at 8 o'clock in stormy weather in Hammah. Up to the ferry we had fantastic support from 4 cycling friends.

On the SH side we got the headwind right in our face. It always blew with 4-5 wind strengths in gusts even up to 7. It passed Brunsbüttel, Friedrichskoog… voir plus

This morning after a great breakfast in the hotel, yesterday that was the only possibility to spend the night in Husum, we left again around 8. It went first over Nordstrand and then further and further along the North Sea coast. A big challenge was to open a gate every kilometer… voir plus

After the first night in the tent, it started again punctually at 8 in Wasserballig.

After a rest day yesterday, we started today at 7 with full vigor.

In Oldenburg H. there was breakfast and then on towards Fehmarn. In Heiligenhaus we crossed the Fehmarn Sund Bridge to do a lap on the island. Back over the bridge we took Kurz auf Travemünde always along the Baltic… voir plus

From Niendorf to Graal-Müritz

Rolled from the campsite a little later today, because yesterday evening we got the information over a beer that a ferry in Kamminke translates directly to Ueckermünde.

This morning 6 o'clock alarm clock, Volker is already up. Slept great and now it's time for breakfast.

Delicious, of everything.

Today we experienced the borderline experience. Tent and everything was extremely wet due to the high humidity but pack up and go. After 25 kilometers and almost 600 meters in altitude, finally a place for breakfast.

Happiness is with us this morning, breakfast in the village. That is really good for us, then at half past eight on the route always along the border. The topography is very different than in the past few days. Nice climbs, long descents are nicer!

After the last thunderstorm night (lightning, thunder, rain, etc.) with raging watercourse through the tent with rescue of all clothes and accommodation in the shower house, we were at the starting block at 7 today.

The nice thing in life is when something changes for the better.

Last evening, rain in prospect, and then a room in prospect ... Woke up dry and warm in the room this morning at six.
