🇩🇪🇨🇿 Elbsandsteingebirge

Today, unfortunately, too little time, so only a guided tour of the imposing fortress Königstein.

Bohemian Switzerland is less known and perhaps less spectacular than Saxon Switzerland, but as a hiking destination it is still very attractive and not quite as crowded.

After the Schrammsteintour in the morning I wanted to walk in the afternoon actually as another classic through the Prebischtor and the Edmundsklamm. The masses of tourists have then let me turn off quickly. I then made a tour from Outdooractive in Bohemian Switzerland.

Since the border to the Czech Republic was still closed, we looked at the Kirnitzschklamm on the German side of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains instead of the Edmundsklamm. Fortunately, you could go boating again. Since it had been raining until the start of our tour, there were limits to the visitors and… voir plus

To my knowledge, you can not completely hike the gullies. I had to take the boat twice (500m Wild Gorge and 1km Edmundsklamm). The run is a bit cheated. During the tour planning time to wait for the boats (had to wait 2x about 20min).

Après un long moment, je suis de nouveau parti en tournée avec une tente. Peu de temps avant la fin de la saison des bivouacs dans l'ouest de la Suisse saxonne, j'ai fait une randonnée depuis la gare de Schöna (en face de Hřensko) plus ou moins sur le Forststeig jusqu'au bivouac de Zehrborn. Since I still needed some exercise after visiting the Kirnitzsch Gorge, I walked the way from Hinterhermsdorf on the Dr.-Alfred-Meiche-Weg to Sebnitz without a family. That was a nice hiking trail with the Wachberg as a highlight. The trail is reminiscent of Sebnitz historian and linguist Alfred Meiche (1870 - 1947).

For a lowland hiker like me, the section between Altem Wehr and Ostrauer Mühle was not entirely without and required the much-mentioned sure-footedness.

Otherwise, of course, very touristy but quite a nice tour.

Nice tour from the Lichtenhain waterfall over the cowshed, Little Winterberg, Unteren Affensteinweg to Ostrau and Bad Schandau. Highly recommended and not too difficult.

I am considering doing the Forststeig in the western part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains next year as a multi-day hike and wanted to take a look around there.

I then followed the Weißbach to the Niedermühle, which I had already visited on the tour the day before.
