Cruz del Carmen is THE viewpoint in the Mercedeswald. As a result, there is usually traffic chaos here, and you will practically never find a parking space. Today on the way back it was pretty empty, we even got a legal parking space in only about 2 minutes.

After we hadn't walked that much today, we wanted to go back to the fish restaurant that evening, where we were already on the first evening. After we hadn't walked as much as planned yesterday, there should be the first serious hike today. But it was quite warm, so shade was a must - the Orotava forest is the ideal option! There is some shade here, and often there is also the fog, which is responsible for the lush green in this region.

Today we flew on our short vacation. Everything went wonderfully, so we could do our first tour right away. The Rincon del Mar is on the other side of the village, but it is one of the best (most authentic) on the island! We will eat here a few more times.

Since we had Sahara dust the entire week, our hope of catching beautiful landscapes or a great starry sky up on the Teide was clouded in the truest sense of the word. It was therefore clear that the visit to the Birds of Prey Park would be the photographic highlight of the trip.

After the really tough hike yesterday, we wanted to take it easy today. So sat in the car and headed south - in the Birds of Prey Park (now called Jungle Park), birds can be photographed wonderfully, even in flight. Too bad that Monday and Tuesday are closed! What now? Beautiful beach at the end of the world. The drive here can be really fun if you don't have various tourist snails in front of you at almost walking pace (otherwise you just have to enjoy the beautiful rainforest) ...
