Nordholland und Amsterdam

The North Holland Dune Reserve is an extensive nature reserve in the dune belt on the North Sea in the Dutch province of North Holland. It extends from the Schoorlser dunes in the north to Wijk aan Zee in the south. With around 5200 hectares, it is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands.

In Schoorl lies the visitor center "Het Zandspoor" of the Dutch forestry administration, which holds maps and information material. In the 604 hectare nature reserve 'Het Zwanenwater', in a large dune area, there are numerous observation places. There are freshwater lakes, swamps, heathland, woods, thorns, flowers and plants. Mind you, more than 100 species of birds have bred in this natural beauty.

Donkere Duinen "is the name of the nature reserve west of the town of Den Helder.There are several footpaths that connect the forest, the dunes and the sandy beach, as well as information boards about the plants and animals in the dune area.

Cheap parking is also available in Amsterdam; for 10 € it can be parked in a guarded car park 24 hours, close to the center directly on the harbor. All you have to do is reserve a seat online and pay in advance.
